Thank you to everyone who came to our Christmas Event on Saturday 6th December. Everyone who attended had a great time and there was a lot of positive feedback, including compliments for the band, the food and the decorations. The event raised over £1,200 for the school. However, we were disappointed to have had just over half the number that attended last year and would really like to hear some feedback as to why parents chose not to come to this event. The evening will take the form of a talk by the Head and Head of Sixth Form, followed by time to visit the convention, which will show the progression opportunities post GCSE. These include A levels (AS and A2), vocational A level, Diplomas, FE college, apprenticeships and employment. Each stand will be manned by a teacher (usually the Head of department), accompanied by Year 12 Students, who will be pleased to greet you and welcome any questions. There will be examples of work produced for AS studies, texts used, the subject content and a display.

The talks will be at 6.00 pm, 6.45 pm and 7.30 pm. Year 11 will shortly receive a copy of the handbook and a letter with details of the evening.
